Crowds Form Outside Staples Center For Nipsey Hussle Funeral

The funeral of rapper Nipsey Hussle was held at the Staples Center in Los Angeles on Thursday, April 11. This footage shows crowds forming outside that morning.

According to CBS Los Angeles, the memorial service, entitled Nipsey Hussle’s Celebration of Life, began at 10 am. An estimated 21,000 people were in attendance, “Vulture” reported, including performers like Jhene Aiko and Snoop Dogg, as well as Louis Farrakhan of the Nation of Islam. A letter from former President Barack Obama praising Nipsey Hussle’s efforts to improve his community was read at the service.
