A lorry carrying tonnes of McVitie's biscuits caused traffic chaos after shedding its load of Ginger Nuts and Bourbon Creams across a busy road.
Police were called after the HGV spilled hundreds of packets of biscuits over the carriageway in Derbyshire on Monday.
The road was closed while the huge clean-up operation began with officers joking they were trying to "digest" the issue.
Derbyshire Police officers from Erewash Response tweeted dramatic pictures of the aftermath of the crash and wrote: "Sandiacre - Ilkeston Road.
"Please bare with us this evening whilst we try and ‘digest’ this issue….
"A lorry load of McVities finest have decided to abandon ship causing a slight obstruction!
"Can anyone bring us a brew."
One person replied: "That really takes the biscuit...was it at a Tea-junction?"
Another joked: "Drove past earlier with a cup of tea, got done for dunk driving"
A third put "will need a stiff drink after cleaning that up, perhaps a bourbon" while another said: "What a load of crumbs!! Guess that's how the cookie crumbles."
