Crusaders have announced they are freezing ticket prices for all Irish Premiership games next season. The Seaview club confirmed they will continue charging £13 for adults and £9 for concessions in 2024/25.

The NI Football League confirmed earlier this month that admission fees for the new season are going up by £2. That means adult fans can now expect to be charged £15 to attend a match, while kids and seniors pay up to £10.

But Crusaders won't be following the price hike.

The Shore Road club said: "In light of the current cost of living crisis, the Board of Crusaders Football Club is pleased to announce that entrance fees for all NIFL Premiership games for ALL supporters will be frozen for the upcoming 2024-2025 season. This decision is aimed at alleviating the financial burden on our dedicated supporters in particular, and Irish League supporters in general.

"The Board of Crusaders FC has taken a stand to support our fans during these challenging times by maintaining last season's prices. This decision reflects our commitment to our community and the unwavering support we receive from our fans.

"We believe that football should be accessible to everyone, and by freezing the entrance fees, we hope to ease the financial strain on our supporters and ensure that everyone can continue to enjoy the beautiful game.

"Thank you for your continued support. We look forward to seeing you at Seaview for another exciting season of football.

"Given the cost increases in utilities, insurance and operational costs in general a price increase would have been most welcome.

"However football supporters are more than customers, they are the life blood of our game, they support clubs through thick and thin over generations. Crusaders FC cannot in good conscience proceed with any price increase in the present economic climate."

Irish Premiership ticket prices have increased by 20% in two seasons, but clubs do offer season tickets which offer savings.

In a recent statement explaining the price increase, a NIFL spokesperson said: “Following the unanimous agreement of the 12 Premiership clubs’ representatives, the maximum price for a single match ticket for League games will now be £15 for adults and £10 for concessions.

“With a continued increase in operating costs for NIFL clubs, the increase was deemed necessary by clubs to continue to provide supporters with the best quality product on and off the pitch.

“The NI Football League still remains one of the few professional leagues in the UK and Europe that ensures a maximum price cap on general admission tickets for the benefit of supporters.”
