Crysencio Summerville transfer sell-on clause details emerge as PSG target Leeds United maestro

The odds are still stacked against Leeds United retaining the services of Crysencio Summerville going into the 2024/25 season, despite Archie Gray's move to Tottenham. The Dutch forward is attracting interest from a host of Premier League clubs and French champions Paris Saint-Germain.

Dutch outlet Telegraaf say PSG are leading the race to sign Summerville and have already contacted United's to discuss a potential transfer. The report also states that Liverpool and Chelsea have both made enquiries for the player, with Brighton and Hove Albion having also reportedly spoken to Summerville. It is thought the Seagulls, who signed Yankuba Minteh from Newcastle United earlier this week, were put of a deal by Summerville's salary demands.

It remains to be seen if the Whites will sell their star forward. Summerville registered an impressive 19 goals and nine assists in 43 Championship matches for United last term as Daniel Farke's side missed out on promotion back to the Premier League.

Given Summerville's importance to the team, it is highly unlikely he will be sold on the cheap. Multiple reports suggest the Whites will demand between £35m-£40m for the talismanic forward.

There is an expectation that Summerville, who is contracted to United until the summer of 2026, will move on but the Elland Road club will be hoping, if that is the case, for there to be a bidding war to drive up the price. United will reportedly lose 15 per cent of any transfer fee they receive for Summerville as Feyenoord have a sell-on clause, according to 1908. Ten per cent of the fee is part of the Dutch club's sell-on clause and they will receive an additional five per cent as a solidarity contribution for him coming through their academy.
