Jurgen Klopp’s went 1-0 ahead on the stroke of half-time when James Milner scored from a dubious 45th-minute penalty, before Sadio Mane sealed the win in stoppage time.

Roy Hodgson’s side defeated Fulham on the opening day of the season, while Jurgen Klopp’s side despatched West Ham with ease – thumping the Hammers 4-0 at Anfield.

Many have tipped Liverpool to pose the main threat to Manchester City’s title defence, but Palace have not been the easiest of opponents for the Reds in recent years.

Passenger Bus Crashes Into Saint Petersburg River
A bus crashed off a bridge and into the Moyka River in Saint Petersburg, Russia, on Friday, May 10, with local police saying around 20 people were on board.Local media reported that at least five people died, with four “seriously injured”.
