CSI probe 'isolated' Guisborough incident as police and firefighters rush to scene


Crime scene investigators are probing an incident which saw a fleet of emergency services swoop on a home.

CSI, Cleveland Police, and Cleveland Fire Brigade remain at Warwick Road, in Guisborough, following an incident on Wednesday. Although the nature of what has happened has not been revealed, officers confirmed they believe the incident is "isolated".

In an statement published on Wednesday morning, they said: "Officers are currently dealing with an incident on Warwick Road, Guisborough, which occurred earlier this morning (June 26).

"Our officers will remain on the scene alongside colleagues from Cleveland Fire Brigade. It is believed that this is an isolated incident and there is no threat to the wider community."

Pictures from the scene show a Cleveland Fire Brigade engine and a line rescue vehicle in attendance alongside three police cars and a crime scene investigation van. Crime scene officers could be seen working in a terrace property and removing bags of evidence from the scene.

Two PCSOs have been guarding the area as officers carried out enquiries. A fire service spokesperson confirmed: "Cleveland Fire Brigade were called on 26/06/24 at 10.13am to deal with an incident on Warwick Road in Guisborough. One fire engine was in attendance from Coulby Newham. We got the stop message around 11.47am."
