Cultural Capital: We visit the revamped Jacksons Lane and review Leah Purcell’s The Drover’s Wife

Welcome to the new edition of Cultural Capital. This week, we take a look at the newly zjuzjed Jackson’s Lane cultural centre in Haringay, a former Wesleyan chapel on Archway Road that has served its community as a creative hub since the 70s.

Thing of the week is one of those slightly horrifying ones that you all like so much, and I review The Drover’s Wife: The Legend of Molly Johnson, a new film by the indigenous Australian filmmaker Leah Purcell which reclaims the invisible figures of the country’s early colonisation.
