It picks up where the “The Curious Case” left off in May 2023 as Natalia retells her the story of her adoption and the Barnett’s allegations from her perspective, offering a different narrative as to what happened to her behind closed doors. The docuseries also featured an explosive and emotionally charged sit-down between Natalia and adoptive father Michael Barnett, the first time the two had spoken since his trial.

Previously unseen evidence and footage, as well as new theories and testimony from an array of voices — including the retired FBI agents who initially investigated Natalia’s case, genetic experts, the Tippecanoe County Deputy Prosecutor Jackie Starbuck (who prosecuted Michael in his October 2022 trial) — attempt to answer Natalia’s true age. “Natalia Speaks” also showcased her life with her new adoptive family, Bishop Antown and Cynthia Mans.
