Curtis Pritchard has been having acting lessons and is eyeing a new TV role.

The 'Love Island' star and his former 'Strictly Come Dancing' professional brother AJ, 27, were hit with widespread backlash for their portrayal of siblings Marco and Jacob in Channel 4 soap 'Hollyoaks' in 2021, with former star Parry Glasspool dubbing their performance "agonising to watch".

However, the criticism hasn't put the 26-year-old dancer off, and he insists his acting is far better since his brief stint on the long-running soap.

He told the Daily Star: "Going on 'Hollyoaks' was such a great thing because I learned so much from it. It taught me a lot of acting. I fell in love with acting. It gave me a buzz for acting.

"I am 100% keen to do more acting. 1000%! I have been having acting lessons. From that performance on 'Hollyoaks' to now, I’m like a different person."

The blonde-haired hunk says the 'Hollyoaks' team was made up with the attention their acting debuts courted.

He added: "Put it like this, I got more press than 'Hollyoaks' has ever got. In more countries than even get 'Hollyoaks'. They were very happy."

Curtis' latest gig is taking part in 'Celebrity SAS: Who Dares Wins' with his brother.

The choreographer recently revealed he broke his little toe just two days before filming the Channel 4 quasi-military training television programme.

He told press: "Two days before going in, I was gonna go for a massage and I accidentally stubbed my little toe and broke it.

"Literally they called me into your massage and I stood up and booted my toe.

"I was that embarrassed, I couldn't make a facial expression, couldn't make a noise, I just kept walking on it."
