Dancing on Ice is officially back in the building!

It's been a long time, four years in fact, since the series was last on our screens. Now that it's here again, we'd really like an explanation from ITV as to why it was ever cancelled in the first place – what the heck was that about, guys?

But let's not dwell on the past. All is forgiven now that the producers have finally come to their senses and reinstated TV's coolest show (see what we did there?).

Here's everything you need to know about Dancing on Ice 2018 ...

Dancing on Ice: When is the next elimination?

The next elimination will take place on Sunday, February 25.

The first elimination of the series took place on Sunday, March 4 following the first ever skate-off.

Odds: 1/4

Former X Factor star Jake has become the favourite to win after announcing his place on the show on ITV's Lorraine.

Explaining why he decided to sign up for Dancing on Ice, he revealed the series was his mum's favourite. He's hoping to make her proud on the show, but is nervous about accidents during rehearsals.

"I'm worried about injuring my dance partner," Jake added. "The last thing I want to do do is kick someone in the face with my skates on – or even drop someone! I am quite big so I know I will be asked to do lifts and that's making me nervous."

2. Kem Cetinay

Kem Cetinay is also a contender in the race towin Dancing on Ice 2018. News of his decision to take part in the show was first announced on the show's official Instagram account (@dancingonice).

Love Island 2017 winner Kem said: "I still can't believe I'm going to be on Dancing on Ice. Never in my wildest dreams did I ever think I'd be strapping on a pair of skates and dancing in some lycra.

"Anyone who knows me will know how competitive I am, so I'm going to work very hard to stay on my feet! I can't wait to get my skates on."

3. Brooke Vincent

Odds: 1/7

Brooke Vincent was the very first celebrity announced for the revival series of Dancing on Ice and is another contender to win.

The Coronation Street star confirmed the news during an appearance on This Morning with hosts Phillip Schofield and Holly Willoughby, who will also be returning to front the skating contest.

"I love a challenge," said Brooke, who plays Sophie Webster on Corrie. "Ice skating – what an amazing skill. Next year I can go with the girls and be like, 'I can do this, I can do that' and they'll be holding onto the sides.

"I've been trying to lose a few pounds to get in them leotards. I started my ice training on Saturday. If I get injured at least I'll look sparkly on the way to the hospital!"

4. Max Evans

In joint first place is Max, whose place on the show was confirmed on The Chris Evans Breakfast Show on BBC Radio 2.

Commenting on the news, the rugby star said: "I haven't done any skating since I was a kid, and this is completely different having to skate on live television.

"I've had two training sessions which have hurt my feet a lot. We've all had a dance, which is familiar territory, but skating is so not..."
