Dancing on Ice has eliminated its sixth celebrity contestant.

This week saw Ricky Norwood skating off the rink for good, following a routine to 'Three Little Birds' by Bob Marley and the Wailers.

After landing in the skate-off with pro partner Annette Dytryt, the EastEnders star was eliminated.

They were facing former Love Island star Amber Davies and Simon Proulx-Sénécal, who had performed a routine to 'Mama' by the Spice Girls.

Despite the pair scoring 30 (their highest marks), Oti Mabuse, Christopher Dean and guest judge Johnny Weir all chose to save Amber and Simon – meaning that Ricky was knocked out of the competition. Jayne Torvill also confirmed she would have saved Amber and Simon.

After his elimination, Ricky reflected on his time during the competition, telling the judges: "From not being able to walk on the ice to getting to this point here, I never thought I'd get to this point.

"I don't know where I would have been without you," he said to Annette before leaving the rink.

This week's episode celebrated the 40th anniversary of legendary skaters (and head judges) Jayne Torvill and Christopher Dean's Olympic gold, and saw the celebrities skating to songs special to them.

During the programme, Olympian Greg Rutherford and partner Vanessa James skated to 'The Greatest Show' from The Greatest Showman, scoring their highest mark yet (35).

Made in Chelsea's Miles Nazaire and Vanessa Bauer then skated to 'All Along the Watchtower' by Jimi Hendrix in honour of Miles's father – who appeared on stage to play the first part of the song. The pair scored 36 – a personal (and series) best.

Radio DJ Adele Roberts and her pro partner Mark Hanretty then performed a routine to 'Young Hearts Run Free' by Candi Staton, and matched Miles' score of 36.

Ski jumper Eddie the Eagle and Vicky Ogden skated to 'Jump' by Van Halen to honour Eddie's iconic Calgary Olympics performance in 1988. They scored 32.5.

Coronation Street's Ryan Thomas and Amani Fancy skated to 'Easy' by Commodores – covered by Ryan's late father, Dougie James. They scored their highest mark of 35.

Dancing on Ice airs on Sunday nights on ITV1 and streams on ITVX.
