Dancing on Ice star Gemma Collins leaves Saira Khan's children ‘distressed’ over explosive Jason Gardiner row

Dancing on Ice contestant Saira Khan has told how her children were left feeling “upset” after Gemma Collins launched into a tirade against judge Jason Gardiner, during Sunday night’s show.

Collins left viewers shocked after warning the Australian judge to “stop selling stories” on her.

Loose Women panellist Khan criticised the TOWIE star for having an “outburst” in front of an audience full of children, adding that her daughter Amara and son Zachariah both struggled to deal with it.

Speaking on the ITV panel show, Khan said: “Just my own personal perspective, I had children there yesterday, with lots of other children in the audience and then to have an outburst like that on live TV – I have to say, my children were actually quite upset and a little bit distressed.”

She added: "This is a family show, and so I just think if you're going to [be a] diva, take it off the screen.

“We don't need to show our youngsters that kind of thing. If you've got children in a live audience and they're witnessing that, that kind of condones that behaviour."

But Khan criticise Gardiner for talking about a contestant using such “harsh” terms.

Khan’s comments come after Collins left Gardiner looking red-faced after she slammed him for branding her “lazy” and “mediocre”.

After scoring Collins a mere three points for her performance of Diamonds Are a Girl's Best Friend with professional partner Matt Evers on Sunday night, Gardiner criticised the star for her “lack of elegance”.

Collins hit back: “Can I just say one thing? Maybe if you didn’t sell stories on me, maybe I wouldn’t have been so upset this week. So take that. Boring. Next. Don’t sell stories on me. Don’t sell stories on me. Please don’t sell stories on me.”

Khan narrowly made it through to next week's show after she landed herself in the skate-off against comedian Richard Blackwood.

Collins has yet to respond to Khan’s comments.
