'Dancing On Ice' 2020 announces TV legend Trisha Goddard as 11th contestant

Trisha Goddard is the latest star announced for ITV’s Dancing On Ice.

Goddard, 61, appeared on Good Morning Britain today to share that she'd be part of the Dancing On Ice line-up when the programme returns to screens in 2020.

The former talk show host said in a statement: "I love physical stuff. Every day I bike ride, I weight train, I love any physical thing. I learnt to ski at 37, I learnt to roller blade at 42. I'm 62 in December. I thought 'Why not?'"

Trisha rose to fame in the UK with her self-titled talk show which aired on ITV between 1998 to 2004 before moving over to Channel 5 where it ran for a further five years between 2005 to 2010.

The presenter is the latest famous face added to the line-up after the stars began to be unveiled last week.

Michael Barrymore is set to compete, along with Love Island's Maura Higgins and TV host Joe Swash.

Other names include Steps member Ian "H" Watkins, magician Ben Hanlin, former footballer Kevin Kilbane and ITV newsreader Lucrezia Millarini. They will also be joined by Coronation Street's Lisa George, Paralympic sprinter Libby Clegg and Diversity dancer Perri Kiely.

The series is set to launch in early 2020 where Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield will return as hosts.

Meanwhile, there's a shake-up amongst the judging panel as long-time judge Jason Gardiner won't be returning. John Barrowman is taking over his position on the panel where he will be joined by Jayne Torvill, Christopher Dean and Ashley Banjo.
