Dancing shoes: Halpern and Christian Louboutin join forces on deliciously disco collection

This season, London Fashion Week has been an explosion of cheer-making colour and much-needed mood lifting sparkle.

And nowhere more so than at Halpern's sequin-soaked show.

Inspired by New York women like seasoned socialite and sartorial rule-breaker Nan Kemper and also his own mother, Halpern's third London Fashion Week show pioneered yet another dazzling line-up of embellished super flares, glittering miniskirts paired with decorative t-shirts and power-shouldered mini dresses.

The 30-year-old New York designer explained that his deluge of sequinned sass was inspired by those unafraid to fly in the face of sartorial convention.

"There are so many dress codes for nowadays," he says. "I think you can be glamorous it doesn't have to be only for the evening and I think that's what inappropriate glamour is for us."

And this audaciousness extended to the footwear, which was created in partnership with Christian Louboutin.
