Danielle Lloyd's mother broke down in tears on ITV's Lorraine this morning (July 25).

She appeared on the show with her famous daughter to talk about her battle with fibromyalgia, a long-term condition that causes pain all over the body and affects 1 in 25 people.

Opening up about how the disease impacts her life, Jackie said: "I'm in pain constantly, from head-to-toe. It's horrendous. I've tried every tablet under the sun but nothing makes the pain go away."

Jackie first noticed something wasn't quite right around six years ago when she started getting aches and hot flushes but put it down to the menopause.

Two years later, it started to get worse until getting out of bed became a struggle.

"I've always had arthritis so I thought maybe that could be it – but the pain wasn't just in the joints," she added. "It was all over. It was horrific. I couldn't even hold a cup."

The toughest part about living with the condition for Jackie is how it's affected her relationship with her three grandchildren, Archie, Harry and George.

She added: "The kids don't understand because it's a silent illness – nobody can see it. People always tell me I look so well but I feel like I'm burning from the inside out. It affects all your nerve endings and muscles. From head-to-toe, it just feels like I'm burning.

"One of the first things they do when you get diagnosed is give you anti-depressants because they want to try and make you feel better about yourself. It's really hard."

At that point, Jackie began to cry and Danielle tried to comfort her.

The former Celebrity Big Brother star, who is expecting her fourth child in five months' time, explained that in the past, she has been quite dependent on her mother for help, especially when it came to her children.

However, looking to the future, Jackie admitted she might not be able to be in the delivery room with her daughter when she gives birth in December.

"It's so sad to see," Danielle admitted. "All the stuff she used to do, she just can't do anymore."

Lorraine is on ITV, weekdays at 8.30am.
