A man has died after being hit by a metal tent peg while camping.

Erik Larsen Fjordvald was camping in Denmark when he struck by the object on Friday, said police.

The 61-year-old was hit in the neck by the metal peg as he packed up his tent in the north-west of the country.

It is thought the object was propelled by high winds during a storm.
