Yahoo News Dannii Minogue would love to return to Home and Away
Before becoming an iconic pop star and talent show judge, Dannii Minogue starred in one of Australia's best-known soaps, like her sister.
If you remember, Dannii had a starring role in Home and Away from the late '80s as goth Emma Jackson, before her character departed in 1990 to become an air hostess.
While that was all a long time ago, Dannii has revealed she would "love to" make a return as the character, and reflected on where Emma would be in 2018.
"I've been having lots of conversations with people where we've been trying to work out where we think she's been, what she's been doing and, if she did come back, who would she be now?" the star told The Independent.
"It fascinates me to think it would be something that I could do and it would be awesome to be able to do it really well.
"Playing Emma Jackson was the most fun. I'd come out from working in TV as a child [on Young Talent Time] where everything was all super shiny and cute, to playing Emma, this really grumpy, hormonal teenager, and for me that was a lot of fun."
So is a return to Summer Bay this year on the cards?
"I would love to!" Dannii added. "The network knows that I would love to. And I'm still working a lot for Network 7 over here so…. I'm sure it can happen."
Earlier this year, Dannii expressed interest in returning to Home and Away for its 30th anniversary, revealing that the show's bosses had been in contact.
Home and Away airs on weeknights at 1.15pm and 6pm on Channel 5.
