Danny Dyer And Mark Wright: What Started Their Feud?

Over the weekend many of us were left slightly baffled when it was claimed that TOWIE’s Mark Wright had five of his mates beat up EastEnders’ actor Danny Dyer at V Festival in Hylands Park.

Mark has since confirmed that he wasn’t involved in the physical confrontation, with Danny tweeting that the Essex lad’s pals had kicked him in the head and “squared up” to his 20-year-old daughter Dani, who he was at the festival with.

With the majority of the internet being firmly in Danny’s corner, most are unsure about what even sparked the bitter fight, which came just days after Mark’s brother Joshua took to Twitter to slam the cockney favourite.

Danny seemingly referenced Mark’s Heart FM radio show and Oykos yogurt advertisement deal by tweeting: “My worst nightmare would be listening to Heart FM while eating an Oykos yoghurt. It would be like p*ssing razorblades.”

Josh fired back: “Malcolm you must still be hurting from when Mark gave you a slap in the changing room that day.”

Danny responded by clarifying that Mark had attacked him at a charity football match, writing: “Get over it you melt. At a charity football match 4 Terminally ill children then run behind his dad.

"What a geezer. My bird hits harder. [sic]”.

Josh refused to let it slide, adding: “Not sure it happened like that mate you ran your mouth as always and pushed him into corner so he protected himself by slapping you.”

Prior to this admittedly timid Twitter spat, the only beef between Mark and Danny appears to stem way back to 2013 when Danny told Digital Spy that he would never be mates with the reality star, explaining: “It’s mainly because of some of his quotes saying he wants to be the next James Bond.

"If he’s the next James Bond, it’s over for me.

"It’s the arrogance of it all – it irritates me. Mark’s not up my street, he’ll never be a mate of mine.

"Good luck to him, just stay away from me.”

At the time, Mark ignored the comments but they obviously struck a chord with him.

Although we can’t help but think that it’s a little bit dramatic to get your mates to beat up a man in front of his daughter following a three-year-old throwaway comment so perhaps there is more to it than meets the eye…
