Danny Dyer 'in love' with Jarrod Bowen more than daughter Dani Dyer

Danny Dyer has joked he is "in love" with his daughter Dani Dyer's footballer boyfriend.

The 44-year-old actor has quipped that he is probably "more in love" with West Ham star Jarrod Bowen than his daughter is.

During a conversation about Valentine's Day on the 'Sorted with the Dyers' podcast, Danny said to his daughter: "I know you get very shy around this and maybe one day we will discuss it properly.

"It's interesting I'm probably more in love with your boyfriend than you are."

The 'EastEnders' actor is a passionate West Ham fan, and he loves that his daughter is dating one of the team's star players.

Danny admitted he loves West Ham "more than anything else on this planet".

He said: "West Ham are my one true love. I think I love West Ham more than anything else on this planet."

Dani, 25, recently discussed her burgeoning relationship with the Premier League player.

The TV star described Jarrod as a "lovely guy", and revealed they're "enjoying getting to know each other".

Dani - who has son Santiago, 12 months, with her ex-boyfriend Sammy Kimmence - said: "Everything is so early days. Jarrod is a lovely guy and we’re enjoying getting to know each other.

"But Santiago will always be my main priority, he will always come first. I am concentrating on being a mum and, beyond that, whatever happens, happens."

Dani also revealed her dad is "invested" in the entire West Ham squad.

And the 'Love Island' star is delighted that her burgeoning romance with Jarrod, 25, has the support of Danny.

She shared: "He's invested in all of the West Ham players because he supports the team and follows some of them.

"He's like, 'They're all my friends.' I'm like, 'Right, OK, Dad.' "
