Back in 2021, it was announced that Marvel Studios had regained rights to the Daredevil franchise, and would be reviving the cancelled Netflix show.

Following this, Disney+ announced that Charlie Cox would be reprising his role as the blind superhero Daredevil aka Matt Murdock after he featured in cameos in Spider-Man: No Way Home and She-Hulk: Attorney at Law.

Previously speaking about the show's revival, Cox said that the Disney+ reboot may redo storylines from the original Netflix series.

"In a way, what's great about that is that we potentially get to tell some of the stories over and over again in the same way that they do in the comics, you know," he said.

"Kevin [Feige] has been clear about it being a season 1, not a season 4, you know, so it's a whole new deal. It's a bizarre experience to have played this character, to have the experiences I've had with this character, and the journey that we've been on with the show. For that to be finished and ended, and in my mind and heart it's over, and then to be yanked back in and suddenly we're starting again and it's all happening again it feels like a dream."

Daredevil seasons 1-3 are streaming on Disney+. Daredevil: Born Again is due to premiere in 2024.
