Darren Gough Signs Up For Cycling Competition Show Alongside Jodie Kidd And Austin Healey

He’s no stranger to trying his hand at new sports in aid of TV gold, having won Strictly Come Dancing back in 2005 and competed in 2014′s The Jump.

Now, cricketing legend Darren Gough is set to don his cycling gear and get pedalling for a new cycling reality show - ‘Tour de Celeb’.

According to The Sun, Olympic gold medal-winning cyclist Victoria Pendleton will train eight stars for a ‘gruelling course’ through The Pyrenees on the show.

It’s believed that Darren will be joined by Austin Healey, Jodie Kidd, Lucy Mecklenburgh, Hugo Taylor and Amy Williams, with two more stars yet to be announced for the show, which is set to run for six episodes from July.

A source told the paper: “The stars are already training. They have no illusions about how hard it’ll be.”

This could get interesting. And pretty dangerous.

It’s also been reported that Darren has reconciled with ex-wife Anna, after the two split in 2014 amid allegations that the cricketer had ‘grown close’ to Amy Childs, who he was competing with on The Jump at the time.

The two denied the claims, saying they were ‘just good friends’.

Speaking about his reunion with Anna, a source told The Sun: “They quietly reunited last year and are just getting on with married life. They didn’t want a fuss made and they have put all the drama in the past.

“Their friends always thought they’d get back together, especially as there were children involved. This is not the first time they’ve worked through a tricky tough patch.“
