While the list of those honoured have been named, the inductees have a two-year window to plan their ceremonial moment of glory, before their opportunity fades away.

Beckham recently shared his apprehensions about his self-titled Netflix documentary, which was released on the streaming platform last year.

He expressed concerns about his daughter watching it and how it might shape her perception of her father's past struggles. However, the former Manchester United star was pleasantly surprised by the positive response to the documentary, which helped him come to terms with some of the more difficult phases of his illustrious career.

Launched in October last year, Beckham is a four-part series that delves into the life of the renowned footballer. The documentary stands out for its inclusion of previously unseen footage and an in-depth look at Beckham's relationships with his family, friends, teammates, and coaches, providing a unique and personal insight.

Before the series was made public, he had some reservations about how the content could impact his children. "I was a little bit worried about my daughter seeing some of the things that were being said about me over the years and how she would react," Beckham confessed to Variety. "I've been telling my daughter for a long time that mummy used to wear very, very short skirts. And then she was like, 'Daddy, Mommy did really wear really, really short skirts!' But she loved it."

The documentary delved into the alleged affair between Beckham and Rebecca Loos, which he has consistently denied. Victoria Beckham opened up in the series, revealing: "It was the hardest period for us. Because it felt like the world was against us. And here's the thing; we were against each other, if I'm being completely honest."
