Beckham And Victoria Pose For Birthday Selfie

David Beckham marked the end of his 40th birthday celebrations in Morocco by posing in an Instagram selfie with his wife, Victoria.

The football star posted the image with the message: "Thanks to my beautiful wife for such an amazing day x."

He had earlier joined the social media site in style by posting a picture of himself lying in bed, and attracted 1.6 million followers in a matter of hours.

A caption read: "Good morning and hello! It's great to finally be on Instagram, been a long time coming but I can't wait to start sharing all my special moments with you.

"Thank you for all your birthday messages so far. Looking forward to a great day with friends and family."

The former England captain celebrated the milestone with a lavish bash in Marrakech on Saturday night, attended by several stars.

Other photographs show Becks enjoying a selfie with his teenage son, Brooklyn.

Beckham shares his birthday with several other famous faces. They include Lily Allen, who turns 30, along with the designer Donatella Versace, who is 60.

And, of course, the father-of-four also shares his special day with the royal princess - born exactly 40 years after the former Manchester United player.

Beckham wrote on Facebook: "Incredible news. I couldn't be happier for William and Kate. Happy to hear that mother and daughter are fine. It's not a bad day to be born."
