Dead Antelope Gets Revenge As Python Becomes Impaled On Its Horns

This is the amazing moment that an antelope got revenge from beyond the grave - after a snake became impaled on its horn as it tried to eat the dead animal.

Footage filmed at South Africa’s Kruger National Park shows the African rock python desperately attempting to free itself from the horns of the dukier, a small species of antelope that is native to Sub-Saharan Africa.

Despite appearing to be in great distress, reports say that the serpent managed to free itself from the grip of the antelope after a painful struggle.

But someone online commenters were quick to criticise the person filming the snake’s struggle - and say that they may have actually caused the snake to become impaled as it retreated in fear.

African rock pythons are non venomous, but can grow up to 12ft long - killing their prey by coiling their bodies and tightening their grip.
