Deal or No Deal's ITV reboot has been commissioned for a second series, including four celebrity specials.

Stephen Mulhern has taken over from Noel Edmonds as host of the game show since it relaunched on ITV1 at 4pm on weekdays and the launch of the new series in 2023 proved a hit with 13.7m viewers tuning in across all devices. Off the back of that success the game show is to return to ITV for a second series in 2024.

Mulhern said: "I am absolutely over the moon that Deal or No Deal is returning to our screens. The response has been incredible and series one was an absolute rollercoaster of emotions. I loved it! The contestants were a fantastic bunch facing the banker and our new batch of players need to hold their nerve if they want to walk away with the huge jackpot! It's such a phenomenal show and I’m absolutely chuffed to bits that we’re going to be doing it all over again. I can't wait to get back to that studio!"

Deal or No Deal is a game in which contestants can potentially win £100,000 as they play to 'beat The Banker' for the prize money hidden inside 22 sealed red boxes. If they refuse to accept the Banker's final offer the player could be left with as little as 1p, depending on what sum is written inside their box. The show originally aired on Channel 4 in 2005 with Noel Edmonds as presenter, and ran for an impressive 11 years - and more than 3,000 episodes - before being axed.

Deal or No Deal first launched in 2002 in the Netherlands and has since been commissioned in over 80 territories around the world.

Deal Or No Deal is currently showing on ITV2 at 7pm on weekdays and is available to stream on ITVX
