Death in Paradise spin-off Beyond Paradise has begun filming, with new cast members announced to join Kris Marshall.
My Family star Marshall played the lead role of DI Humphrey Goodman in the BBC One murder mystery series from 2014 to 2017, and is now set to feature in its sister show.
His character Humphrey left the fictional Caribbean island of Saint Marie to start a new life with Martha (Sally Bretton) who he had met while she was on holiday on the island, and Beyond Paradise follows their story together back in England.
Looking for a quieter life away from the city, Humphrey agrees to move to Martha's home town - but finds their rural idyll anything but peaceful, with a surprisingly high crime rate.
The series has begun filming this week in south-west England and has welcomed three new cast members to the team.
Joining the series are Derry Girls star Dylan Llewellyn as PC Kelby Hartford, Alan Partridge's Felicity Montagu as office support civilian Margo Martins, and The Bay actor Zahra Ahmadi as DS Esther Williams.
Meanwhile, Death in Paradise has been filming its 2022 Christmas special and season 12 in Guadeloupe, where the series is set.
It is known for replacing its lead character, who was originally played by Ben Miller, followed by Marshall, then Ardal O'Hanlon, and currently features Ralf Little as DI Neville Parker.
When the spin-off series was announced, Marshall said: “I had the best time playing Humphrey out in Guadeloupe and whilst I was delighted that he got his happy ending with Martha, I always wanted to know what happened next.
"So it’s a joy to be putting his crumpled jacket back on and seeing how life has panned out for him back in the UK. Working with Sally is a dream, and I can’t wait to continue Humphrey and Martha’s story and solve a few seemingly impossible mysteries along the way.”
