(Scotch Liz) Sadly, with her loving family by her side, Elizabeth passed away in the care of Edmund House on 25th May 2024 aged 73 years. Much loved and loving Mum of Donna, Paula, Duane and John, Mother in Law of Iain, Andy, Jenny and Hayley, proud Nanna and Nanna Liz to Callum, Aidyn, Ethan, Oli, Isaac, Joshua, Christian and Molly, Sister, Auntie and a good friend to all who knew and loved her. Would family and friends please meet at Woodlands Crematorium, Scunthorpe on Wednesday 19th June 2024 at 12 noon for service and committal. Betty BARNES

Peacefully on 31st May 2024 Betty passed away aged 91 years at Foxby Court Care Home with her family by her side. Beloved wife of the late Eric, a much loved and caring mum to Gill and Graham and mum-in-law to Beverley, loving Nan to Adam and Ellie and Nanny-great to Lewis and Alfie. Betty will be fondly remembered by all those who knew her. A service in celebration of Betty’s life will be held at Lea Fields Crematorium, Gainsborough on 13th June at 11.30 am. Family flowers only please. Any donations in Betty’s memory to be made directly to a charity of personal choice. The family wishes to thank the staff at Foxby Court for the love and support that was given to Betty whilst in their care. Dorothy Violet BURKE (nee Woodburn)

(nee Woodburn) Peacefully on Saturday 18th May, 2024 whilst in the care of Scunthorpe General Hospital, Dorothy passed away, aged 88 years. Beloved wife of the late Peter, much loved mum to Peter, Steven and Andrew, mum-in-law to Jill, Nikki and Jo, loving grandma to Gemma, Thomas, George, Sam, Katie and Faye, great-grandma to Laila, Logan and Zara, also a good friend to many. A service will take place at Grimsby Crematorium on Tuesday 18th June, 2024 at 2.15pm. By request family flowers only please but donations in memory of Dorothy can be made to Cancer Research Uk. David (Dave) CALVERT

(Dave) It is with great sadness that we announce the unexpected death of Mr David (Dave) Calvert, surrounded by his family, on Ward 29 at Scunthorpe General Hospital, on Sunday 2nd June 2024, aged 89 years. Dave suffered a short illness and his death has come as a shock to all those who know him. Dave was the loving husband to Ann, adored father to Diane and Peter, much loved grandfather to Lily and Bailey the dog. Loving brother to Jill, father-in-law to Sally, respected step grandfather to Ben and Tom. Brother-in-law to Pauline, the late Steve, the late Philip, and uncle to Sarah and Steph. Dave was a well known character about Scunthorpe for many years; having been the man behind Calvert Smith Decorators and Football mad member of Crosby Colts and walking football. He was a great friend of his business partner, Brain Sherwood, and all "the lads" who worked for him and a friend of so many others. Those who knew Dave always knew he had a smile, a kind word and was always willing to stop for a chat. His passing will leave a massive hole in our lives and hearts but we know he lived everyday to the fullest. To celebrate a life lived to the full; will all friends and family please join us at Woodlands Crematorium, Scunthorpe at 1:20pm on Wednesday 19th June 2024 for his fond farewell. After a long illness bravely borne, Gordon passed away on 16th May 2024 at home surrounded by his loved ones. A much loved husband, father, grand-dad, great grand-dad, brother, brother in law, uncle and friend to many. (Mick) Peacefully on Thursday 23rd May 2024, whilst in the care of Castle Hill Hospital, Hull, and with his loving family by his side, Mick aged 65 years sadly passed away. Sadly on 26th May 2024 whilst in the loving care of Royal Court Residential Home, Cleethorpes, Eric, aged 86 years, passed away. Peacefully with her family by her side, Phyllis passed away at The Kensington Care Home on Wednesday 29th May 2024, aged 95. Re-united with her much loved husband Don. Cherished Mam to Roger and Julie. Mother-in-law to Martin and the late Joan. Devoted Grandma to Lynsey and Catherine, and Great Gran to Rhys, Ryan, Joel and Luna. Phyllis was also a Sister, a Sister-in-law, Auntie and Cousin. Phyllis will be sadly missed and fondly remembered by her loving family and friends.
