Ralf Little has shared another update on filming for series 13 of Death in Paradise following a brief production break.

Posting a video on his Instagram account, the actor revealed he is currently in St Lucia but would soon be heading back to Guadeloupe to continue filming this week.

"We go back to Death in Paradise," he said. "I fly back today to Guadeloupe and we start filming again on Tuesday. We have the second half of the series to go."

Little then went on to answer a handful of questions about the upcoming series, including when it is likely to air.

"Well it's usually January 7 it starts," the actor explained. "So there will be the Christmas special, I think it was on Boxing Day last year, and then it's about January 7 [that] episode one comes out."

He also revealed that fans can expect more "puzzles and mysteries" in the upcoming episodes as well as emotional storylines for the main characters.

"We're going to try and pick up it with the tone [from] at the end of last year," Little added. "We really tried to push the boat out with series 12. Not just a mystery every week, solving the mystery and moving on, but in the course of a series really trying to find challenges for the main characters... There's going to be more challenges [ahead] for the characters."

During the two-week break, Little had taken part in a charity football match to raise money for schools in Ukraine.

"I am playing in a massive football game called Game4Ukraine to raise money for schools and supporting Ukraine as much as possible," he said in a post on Instagram. "I love playing in these kind of games but this one, in particular, is pretty special."
