The death of a woman in a Glasgow home is being treated as 'suspicious' as forensics have been pictured on the scene.

We reported how police were called to a report of a woman who was allegedly found seriously injured within a property on Tummel Street in Riddrie.

The force was alerted to the incident shortly after 7.30pm on Thursday, June 27.

Emergency crews rushed to the scene, however, the 36-year-old woman was pronounced dead.

Cops have since revealed they are treating the death as 'suspicious'.

In pictures captured by the Glasgow Times, forensics and police officers can be seen outside a property on the road.

A 32-year-old man has been arrested in connection with an alleged assault.

An investigation into the incident is ongoing.

A spokesperson for Police Scotland said: "Police received a report of a woman found seriously injured within a property on Tummel Street, Riddrie, Glasgow, around 7.40pm on Thursday, June 27, 2024.

"Emergency services attended, however, the 36-year-old woman was pronounced dead at the scene.

"The death is being treated as suspicious and enquiries are ongoing to establish the circumstances."
