It may be the last week of September but it’s never too early to start getting ready for Christmas – and now there is the perfect channel for you.

True Christmas, available on Sky, Freesat and Virgin, returned to TV guides on Monday ready to spread some festive cheer with Christmas films all day, every day.

Naturally, because it isn’t even October yet let alone December, viewers aren’t sure what to make of the channel glaring at them, although many are completely overjoyed at the channel returning to screens.

Writing on Twitter, one said: “Wooo absolutely buzzed. Christmas movies are in early channel 319 sky (trueChristmas) movie marathon for my today.”

While another wrote: “Well Christmas has arrived on True Movies!!! Can I get my baubles out? #ChristmasInSeptember #christmasiscoming.”

Many shared screenshots of their TV guides alongside seasonal emojis to get them in the mood for settling down on the sofa.

However, not everyone was happy with the new addition to set-top boxes up and down the country.

“True Christmas on Sky. It’s still September for goodness sake,” ranted one viewer.

A different user wondered: “There's a channel called True Christmas on Sky, like wtf. It also has a +1 channel. Can you block Sky channels.”

Films being shown include Cancel Christmas and November Christmas from 2010 and 2009 offering Christmas Angel.

The seasonal switch for the channel, part of the True Movies franchise, comes a week earlier than last year.

Viewers will be able to get their holiday fix on Sky Channel 319, Freeview/BT/TalkTalk/Plusnet and EE channel 62, Freesat channel 302 and Virgin channel 424.
