Dele Alli's future will be a talking point over the coming months as his Everton contract nears its conclusion. Departing Tottenham in January 2022 to secure a move to Goodison Park, the attacking midfielder signed a two-and-a-half year deal on Merseyside.

Only making 13 appearances for the Toffees in total, Sean Dyche's side have a decision to make over the player as they get their plans in place for the 2024/25 campaign. In the Sky Sports studio at the beginning of the week as he was a guest on Monday Night Football ahead of Everton's match against Chelsea, Alli was asked about his future but he refused to go into detail on the subject given he is still contracted to Everton.

“I’m signed to Everton so I think it’d be disrespectful to say anything else while I’m here," explained the 28-year-old. “They’ve been so amazing with me and I don’t know if it’s off the cards being there next season so I won’t talk about any of that because they’ve been amazing and I don’t know the details of the situation but I want to stay in the Premier League and be at the highest level and playing against the best players.”

He added: “It’s exciting. Some players might panic and think, ‘I’m out of contract in the summer’ but this is a great opportunity to show myself and show what an amazing story it has been and what it’s going to continue to be. Going through this just means that when I do get back to the top it’ll be even better so I just want to get there.”

Following a difficult couple of years for the former Spurs player, everyone is desperate to see the attacking midfielder back on the pitch and enjoying his football once again. Given his desire to remain in the Premier League, football.london takes a look below at possible next clubs for the player if he is to exit Everton.

Leicester City

Leicester City are the current favourites with the bookies to sign Alli in the summer. However, that may all depend on the Foxes securing a Premier League return after a recent wobble of late that has given hope to Ipswich Town, Leeds United and Southampton in the battle for promotion.

A move to the King Power Stadium would see Alli reunited with former Tottenham teammate Harry Winks. The midfielder has rediscovered his form after dropping down to the Championship and he has played a pivotal role in Enzo Maresca's Leicester team.

The Foxes will be looking to add some more attacking quality if they return to the Premier League at the first time of asking, with Alli someone who can give them that and a number of goals in the process.

Crystal Palace

Oliver Glasner will be looking to really stamp his mark on his Crystal Palace side in the summer after taking on the hotseat in February. The Eagles are not prolific goalscorers in the Premier League and Alli could potentially play a role in helping them improve in that area.

If they can manage to keep hold of Michael Olise and Eberechi Eze ahead of next season, Palace could have quite an attack on their hands if Alli makes the move to Selhurst Park.

West Ham

David Moyes may need to bring in an attack-minded midfielder this summer amid speculation regarding Lucas Paqueta and a big-money move to Man City. The Scottish manager got the very best out of Jesse Lingard during a short loan spell during the 2020/21 season, with the former England international going on to net nine goals in 16 games.

So could Moyes potentially get Alli back to his previous heights? A switch to east London could certainly work in the player's favour if he is to be a free agent ahead of next term.

Brentford

Staying in London, Brentford need to make some summer additions to ensure they don't find themselves in a relegation scrap once again. With Ivan Toney looking likely to move on this summer amid plenty of interest in his services, the Bees must add some goals to their team.

Brentford gave Christian Eriksen a chance at a time when he was looking to get back into the game after suffering a cardiac arrest when representing Denmark at Euro 2020, with the Dane going on to repay them on the pitch before eventually sealing a move to Manchester United. Alli just needs an opportunity and Brentford could be the ideal club for him.

Fulham

One other option in the capital is Fulham. Marco Silva has made a huge impact in his time at Craven Cottage and he will be intent on ensuring the Cottagers remain in the Premier League for the foreseeable future given their years back in the Championship before he guided them back to the promised land.

Operating in a 4-2-3-1 system, the No.10 role could suit Alli down to the ground in west London.

Brighton & Hove Albion

Brighton are well known for their knack of signing some of the most talented youngsters in the world and turning them into stars. However, the Seagulls have made some very smart acquisitions in recent seasons by bringing in experienced players such as Danny Welbeck, James Milner and Adam Lallana to help their team hit the next level.

Given those aforementioned signings, Alli could be another experienced player who thrives on the south coast in Roberto De Zerbi's exciting side.

Chelsea

Chelsea are very much an outsider with the bookies when it comes to signing Alli. However, the Blues may have to be very careful with their spending this summer and there is also the Mauricio Pochettino factor to consider given his time working with Alli at Tottenham.

Tottenham

Alli is fondly remembered in N17 after starring in Pochettino's exciting Tottenham team. Some Spurs fans may be dreaming of a Tottenham reunion for Alli but Ange Postecoglou may have other plans altogether as he targets younger signings in his quest to build a Spurs side that can challenge regularly for titles in the not too distant future.

As is the case with Chelsea, the Lilywhites are very much an outsider with the bookies for the signing of Alli.
