If you’re looking for a fun yet effective workout, you’re in luck. Fitness icon Denise Austin recently shared an iconic throwback workout video demonstrating an upbeat, aerobic exercise that is sure to get you moving. Whether you’re looking for a new cardio workout or to simply add some fun to your fitness routine, the 67-year-old has you covered.

Austin recently posted the “#Flashback” video to Instagram to take a little trip down memory lane and to get her fans motivated to move. In the video, Austin showed off her toned abs and legs while wearing a yellow swimsuit and white sneakers on the beach.

“#Flashback with one of my favorite aerobic moves...this one is an oldie but goodie and will get you up and moving today!! The cha cha!” Austin captioned the video. “Hop up and cha cha with me for a few minutes and you will get your heart rate up and your blood pumping. Working out CAN be fun!! This is a small snippet of one of my TV show workouts, from beautiful Cancun.”

In the video, Austin performed the “cha cha” move by taking small, quick steps out to the side before coming back to the center and moving toward the other side. “Keep it moving,” Austin said. “That’s the key to aerobic fitness.”

Eventually, she added a punching movement with her arms while keeping her lower body movements the same to add an upper body component to the exercise. “Keep moving! I don’t want you to go anywhere. Don’t stop,” she said. “This is where it’s all counting now. Kick into that fat-burning ability. Accelerate that metabolism right now!”

Fans loved Austin’s video. “Yes, I totally did this with you every morning! Bringing back good memories for me 👏” one fan wrote. “I have been working out to your videos since my late ’20s and I’m 50 now!” another chimed in. Another fan wrote: “My mom had this on VHS and the whole family did it. Mom, Grandma, sister. Thank you for inspiring everyone. ✨🫶🏻✨ You’re living proof that movement is good for the mind, body, and soul. 🫶🏻”

While so many of Austin’s fans have been working out with her for decades, the fitness icon previously reminded us that “you’re never too old to start” when discussing her top wellness tips with Prevention. “Don’t give up. Because your body can change and be healthier. You can do [it] step by step—little things.”
