Denver Zoo Lion Cub Nibbles at Dad's Mane

Denver Zoo’s adorable three-month-old lion cub Tatu has taken to nibbling at his father’s mane when he’s feeling playful.

According to the zoo, Tatu, who was born on July 27, weighs just over 20 pounds and is consuming a pound of meat every day.

Zoo staff said Tatu enjoys snacking on bones, as well as nibbling on dad Tobias’s mane.

Tatu, the zoo said, is “getting even more skilled at climbing, meaning mom and dad are running out of hiding spots when they need a break from his adorable little face.” Credit: Denver Zoo via Storyful
