Davy Litten has vowed to keep 'working hard' to develop his game after signing a new two-year deal at Hull FC. The Black and Whites held a club option to extend Litten's contract, with the Black and Whites securing the future of their reigning Young Player of the Year until the end of the 2026 season.

One of the club's rising talents, Litten debuted for the club against Wakefield Trinity in the 2022 season and has gone on to make 23 first-team appearances to date. The now 21-year-old started playing for the club's Sports College side back in 2021 and soon signed a senior deal having worked his way through the junior grades.

He has featured for both the academy and reserve sides, and joins a crop of young talent at the club, including Logan Moy, wo signed a new three-year deal last month, not to mention Harvey Barron, Zach Jebson, and Matty Laidlaw, who all saw their deals extended by a further year.

A Cottingham Tigers junior, Litten played 16 times for the first-team last year, and now bolsters the outside back options again with the ability to play on the wing, at centre, or in his favoured full-back spot.

Speaking on his new deal, Litten said: "I’m over the moon to be extending my stay at my boyhood club. Representing this club is a huge honour, and I’m excited to see what the next two years bring for me in an exciting period for Hull FC. I know I’m still a long way off the finished article, but I’m determined to keep working hard and develop my game.”

Hull FC’s Director of Rugby, Richie Myler, added: "We’re pleased to tie down another of our bright young talents for the next two years. Over the past two seasons, Davy has adapted really well to the senior environment, bringing plenty of passion, energy, and personal determination to grow as a player too.

"As Davy acknowledges himself, there are areas of his game that he is keen to develop, and we’re excited to see him do that with us over the coming years."
