Yahoo News Devon funeral notices: Family pays emotional tribute to loving mum
More than 70 emotional tributes have been left to people from around Devon this week. Among them is Elizabeth 'Bet' Wilde from Lynton who died last month at the age of 67. Her family say they will remember her as a "devoted wife" and a "loving" mum, grandmother, sister and friend.
Publishing the death and funeral notices is part of a longstanding tradition in local media. Last week, the family of Rob Sutherland announced he had died at the age of 50 and said he would be "greatly missed" by all those who knew him.
The notices, along with in memoriams and acknowledgements, are first published online on funeral-notices.co.uk, where they remain permanently. Loved ones can then add their own tributes, photos and donations, should they wish to do so.
