Yahoo News New Devon sandwich factory to create 40 jobs
A Devon-based sandwich business has opened a 'food-to-go' factory in Cullompton and is planning to create 40 jobs. Southwest Sandwich Company's new 5,000 sq ft purpose-built facility will be able to produce 50,000 food products a week.
The wholesale business, which sells its products to retailers in the South West of England and South Wales, has expanded its footprint following "growing demand" across the region, it said. As a result, the company is planning to double its production in 2024.
The business has also launched an expanded menu including a range of food-to-go options such as baps, subs, flapjacks, salad and fruit pots, pies, pasties, sausage rolls, and quiches.

Southwest Sandwich Company - part of the newly formed Southwest Food Group - operates its own delivery team and company vehicles, seven days a week.
