Diplo is being sued on accusations of revenge porn.

A Jane Doe claims she had an intimate relationship with the DJ/producer, 45, from 2016 to 2023 and that he sent sexually explicit photos and videos of her to third parties, according to court documents obtained by PEOPLE.

In the complaint, the New York-based woman alleges that between 2018 and 2023, Diplo — whose real name is Thomas Wesley Pentz — recorded himself having sex with her on numerous occasions without her consent and "disclosed and/or distributed the images and videos to third parties through text messaging and Snapchat."

According to the filing, the unnamed woman and Diplo began communicating on Snapchat in April 2016 when she was 21 years old. They exchanged "pornographic images" between April 2016 and June 2016, before meeting in the musician's New York hotel room in June 2016.

They maintained an intimate relationship, including having sex, from June 2016 to October 2023.

During that time, Doe made it known she "did not want Defendant Diplo recording them engaging in sexual activities without her explicit consent nor did she want him to distribute images and/or videos to third parties and never gave him consent to do so," the suit states.

On some occasions, the unnamed accuser gave Diplo permission to record them having sex, she "never gave him permission to distribute those images and videos to third parties and reiterated that he was not to record them without her explicit consent."

In November 2023, Doe alleges she was contacted by a third-party for the first time and discovered they were in possession of "intimate material" that featured her and the "Electricity" artist having sex. Doe was allegedly told that the unnamed party received the explicit photos and videos, which depicted her "genitals, buttocks, and face," on Oct. 14, 2018.

On Nov. 7, 2023, the unnamed accuser filed a police report and within days “the NYPD issued a warrant for Defendant Diplo’s arrest for dissemination of intimate images and/or videos depicting” Doe, per the filing.

"Diplo's actions represent a severe abuse of power and a blatant disregard for human dignity," Micha Liberty, an attorney for Doe from Liberty Law, said in a statement. It is imperative that we, as a society, condemn such actions and hold perpetrators accountable."

Doe's attorney Margaret E. Mabie of Marsh Law added, "Our brave client's story is one of Diplo's many worst-kept secrets, and the filing this case is her first step at forging a path to civil justice."

The NYPD wouldn't confirm if there was an active warrant for Diplo, but acknowledged there was an active investigation.

“There is a criminal complaint on file for unlawful dissemination for a suspect with the name of Thomas Pentz which is currently being investigated by NYPD detectives,” a Deputy Commissioner, Public Information (DCPI) spokesperson told PEOPLE in a statement.

Reps for Diplo have not yet replied to PEOPLE's requests for comment.

Helene M. Weiss, another attorney for Doe from Marsh Law, commented on the DJ's "alleged illicit pattern of behavior," in a statement saying that "she’s hopeful that this litigation may serve as a catalyst in ending the defendant’s repeated victimization of women once and for all."

This is the second accusation Diplo has faced for sharing intimate photos without someone's consent. He has denied previous accusations, with one lawsuit dropped and one complaint ongoing.

In August 2023, Shelly Auguste, who obtained a restraining order against Diplo in 2020, filed a police report against the performer claiming that he distributed nude photographs without her consent.

The LAPD submitted the case to the Los Angeles city attorney’s office in November and was under review, Pitchfork reported. The allegations, which Diplo denied, first came to light in 2020,

Auguste is currently suing the DJ, alleging sexual battery, gender violence, intentional intrusion into private affairs, battery, assault, defamation, intentional infliction of emotional distress and fraud, as well as violation of the Ralph Civil Rights Act and violation of the Tom Bane Civil Rights Act, the publication reported.

Another unnamed accuser sued Diplo in July 2021, alleging that he wouldn't allow her to leave the room at an afterparty in Las Vegas until she performed oral sex on him and claiming he may have recorded it. Diplo denied the incident and the following week, Doe dropped the lawsuit, Rolling Stone reported at the time.
