Doctor Gives CPR to Heart Attack Victim at Brisbane Islamic School

A doctor who was visiting the Islamic College of Brisbane rushed to perform life-saving first aid on a man who collapsed outside the school on May 16, reportedly saving his life.

College director Ali Kadri published CCTV footage of the incident showing the man, believed to be suffering a heart attack, collapse to the ground. Moments later, another man runs from nearby buildings and begins pumping his chest.

According to Kadri, who edited the footage, the man performing CPR was a doctor and his actions helped save the patient’s life.

“For those who are blaming Islam for #Manchester, know that act was against Islam,” Kadri said in a Facebook post. “This act by a Muslim doctor in #Brisbane is ISLAM and most Muslims live by this every day of their lives.”
