Zara gets a visit from DI Tom Stanton, but is shocked to find herself under interrogation in her own home. Tom explains that he was only digging up her past to see if she will be a credible witness in court, and in his opinion she will be. Zara reminds him that she'll do whatever it takes to bring the gang down and get justice for Reece's family.
Later, a stranger secretly slips something into Joe's schoolbag.
Meanwhile, Heston is surprised to see Shak on the high street laden with shopping bags. His suspicions are aroused when Shak declines his offer of a lift and can't seem to get away fast enough.
Later, Heston gently wonders if there is anything Shak might want to tell him. Shak eventually makes a huge confession about what he has done with the money his mum gave him for his birthday. Heston is now in a difficult position. Should he tell Ruhma what he knows, or protect his stepson?
Elsewhere, Ayesha tries to get through to a friend with a dangerous hobby. She makes no bones about how risky it is but will they give it up?
