EastEnders favourite Eve Unwin's (Heather Peace) affair with Suki Panesar (Balvinder Sopal) has been exposed by her husband Nish Panesar (Navin Chowdhry) — which left Eve's life hanging in the balance.

Suki had been desperate to escape her marriage from abusive Nish and run away with her secret lover Eve, who have been having an affair for over a year.

But just as they were going to run off into the sunset together, their escape was harshly snatched away once again when Nish caught the couple kissing on the Minute Mart CCTV footage.

A seething Nish was hellbent on revenge and launched a deadly attack on the former lawyer, leaving concerned fans wondering does Eve die in EastEnders?

Does Eve die in EastEnders?

Luckily, Eve doesn't die in EastEnders as she turned up in Walford to surprise Suki following the harrowing ordeal.

After Nish rumbled their affair, he lured Eve to Walford East by texting her from Suki's phone.

Nish furiously confronted Eve about the affair, but she lied and denied that anything was going on.

The pair got into a scuffle as Eve threatened to stab him with a knife and Nish accused her of coercing his wife into a same-sex relationship.

But Nish soon exploded when Eve gave him some home truths and set the record straight about his warped view of her love for Suki.

Eve told him that she and Suki were in love and they had been having an affair for over a year right under his nose.

Eve insisted that Suki had fulfilled her duty as a mother now their children were adults and was now a free woman to live her own life.

But as Eve left to go and meet Suki, Nish was overcome with rage and followed her out of the kitchen, before attacking her with a champagne bottle.

Nish's son Ravi Gulati (Aaron Thiara) walked in on the scene and Nish told him that she had slipped, but while a horrified Ravi wanted to call an ambulance, his dad demanded that he finish her off.

Nish manipulated his son into killing Eve and Ravi tied her up, driving her to the woods in the boot of his car.

However, the showdown didn't go as planned as Eve managed to free herself from the restraints and run away.

But as Eve hid in the woods and attempted to attack Ravi with a log, it looked like Ravi was about to murder Eve as he towered over her body with the weapon.

Unable to go through with killing her, Ravi ordered her to run away and never come back. But when Eve refused, he threatened to hurt Stacey Slater (Lacey Turner) and Suki.

He warned her that he had killed before, forcing Eve to run away and leave Suki behind forever.

Meanwhile, Ravi lied to his dad that he had killed Eve, but it was only a certain amount of time before Nish realised that Eve was actually alive.

Suki discovered that Nish knew all about her affair and feared for Eve's safety, terrified that he may have had her killed.

Suki plotted her revenge on Nish and attempted to drug him, until her worst fear seemingly came true when Jack Branning (Scott Maslen) told Stacey that Nish and Ravi had been arrested for Eve's murder.

As the pair grieved her death, Eve turned up to Suki's house and hatched a plan for them to both run away together.

Eve later showed up at Stacey's house where she told her that she planted her jacket in Ravi's boot so that they would be arrested for her 'murder.' This meant that the pair would spend the rest of their lives in prison, leaving Eve and Suki to be together.

However, just as they were discussing their plan to make it look like Eve was dead, police officer Jack walked in on them and threatened to upheave everything.
