Humans creators Sam Vincent and Jonathan Brackley have signed a deal with AMC in the US.

Deadline reports that the duo have entered an 'overall deal' with the network, with no further information yet on what that might mean.

With Humans series two set to kick off in the US next month, we're hoping it means there are plans in the work to bring back Niska, Mia and co for a third series, especially once US audiences witness the sensational cliffhanger of the second series.

Back when the second series kicked off in the UK last year, Emily Berrington told us that there is definitely scope for another run.

"It's definitely been written that if there was an option for a third series that they've left some really juicy stuff in the air," she teased.

"I had a proper chill when I read where it gets to at the end of this series. Even when we were filming it, I couldn't quite believe it. I don't think it would disappoint."

Way back in 2015, Vincent and Brackley were also already looking forward to further series. "We think it could run longer than two series. Definitely we have a very rough playful notion of what we'd do in series beyond two," Vincent explained.

Humans kicks off its second series on AMC in the US on February 13. We're slightly jealous of US audiences getting to experience all the twists for the first time.
