This Dog’s Job Is To Scare Away Seagulls - And He LOVES It

This adorable pooch is absolutely loving life as he’s just been given his dream job - of scaring away seagulls.

Not many of us can boast of loving our working day but Bailey’s role of chief seagull-scarer has him feeling very content by the time it comes to clocking off.

The border collie has been hired by the Australian National Maritime Museum in Sydney to chase away the birds from the front of the waterside building.

The annoying gulls have a nasty habit of causing an almighty mess on the front of the building and on nearby vessels and the museums attempts to scare them off have so far not worked.

But Bailey, who was adopted from a foster carer, turned out to be the perfect solution - and ever day he can’t wait to get going.

Dream job: Bailey can’t get enough of chasing seagulls (Australian National Maritime Museum)

Museum head of security Adrian Snelling told ABC 702: “Normally when there are seagulls down the end here, he’ll spot them and I’ll let him off the lead and I’ll say, ‘Bailey go’, and he’ll go down and he just automatically chase the birds.”

He added: "He’s perfect for the role. The highlight of his morning is to come down to chase seagulls.

“And If you don’t take him down, he gets very upset.”

Bailey has now been given his very own life vest from being so eager to do his job well that he’s ended up in the water several times.

Someone give this dog a promotion.
