Dolphins Stampede Alongside California Whale Watching Boat

Tourists aboard a whale-watching vessel off the coast of Newport Beach, California, were delighted when a “stampede” of common dolphins traveled at speed alongside their boat.

Footage of the event was taken by Jessica Roame, a naturalist and marine science educator at Newport Whales.

Roame told Storyful that the moment was captured on June 18, and that the pod consisted of what she believed to be “around 400 common dolphins stampeding.” Credit: Jessica Roame via Storyful
