'I don't care anymore' Martin Dubravka hits out over Newcastle United future with exit admission

Martin Dubravka admits he has grown tired over talk about his future at Newcastle United following strong links with Burnley's James Trafford.

The 35-year-old is preparing to play in the Euros with Slovakia with his country's first game coming up against Belgium next week. But he believes he has done everything he can to retain his place in the Premier League with Newcastle.

When asked by journalists in his own country about the link with Trafford and what it means for him, Dubravka said: "It's hard for me to comment on that, because I get information from the newspaper about who we are signing.

"If I'm honest, I don't care what happens anymore. I defended my place and did my best for the club. If they decide to bring someone else, I won't influence it anymore. This is going on aside at the moment, I'm trying to concentrate on the national team now. I leave the rest out of my head."

Dubravka has been linked with a move to Celtic but insists there is nothing on the table at the moment. Dubravka said: "I would not like to comment on that, because I am mentally set for the national team. However, I am aware of various noises.

"Team-mates do ask me about it, agents call me. Yes, there is some truth to that. There was something true about that last year as well. But you see, I stayed at Newcastle United," explained Dúbravka at the media briefing.

"If there is no official offer on the table, I don't deal with it. That's how I took it even when I was still in Sparta. At the moment, everything is only in the noise stage."
