Jack Grealish has taken to social media for the first time since being left out of England's Euro 2024 squad.

The Manchester City star was one of the notable omissions from Gareth Southgate's 26-man team after a challenging season at the Etihad Stadium. He only started ten Premier League matches and contributed to just six goals across all competitions last campaign.

His omission from the squad came as a huge shock, leaving several players stunned at the decision. Tottenham Hotspur's James Maddison was also left out.

Explaining his decision, Southgate said: "We're blessed with options in attacking areas, all offering something slightly different. Madders and Jack give us something different as well, so they're tough calls.

"We've gone over it and over it as staff to try and be fair. We back our decisions but we recognise we could have gone a different route. Both boys are big characters and great to work with."

While Maddison took to social media to share his disappointment at not being included in the squad, Grealish himself, has not publicly commented on his England omission. He has now taken to Instagram, though, to send a message to his team-mates and country.

In the build-up to England's opener against Serbia, Grealish reposted a picture of England's starting XI and on his Instagram story and wrote: "Good luck to the lads," followed by an England flag and blue heart emoji.

It is clear Grealish will continue to support the Three Lions throughout the tournament, with Southgate's team looking to win a major international trophy for the first time in 58 years.

Despite limited appearances under Pep Guardiola, Grealish had an positive season with City securing the title along with the FIFA Club World Cup and UEFA Super Cup at the beginning of the season.
