Max has dropped a brand new trailer for part two of Doom Patrol's fourth and final season, as well confirming the premiere date.

The DC series' final batch of episodes, which will pick up where part one left off back in January, will arrive on the streaming service on Thursday, October 12.

In the trailer, the team rally together for "one last mission" in the pocket dimension of Orqwith.

We then get a taste of the action-packed adventure to come as they meet old friends and foes on their quest to defeat Immortus and reclaim their longevities, as well as a surprise pep talk from Jane.

The official synopsis reads: "Battling between saving the world and each other, the Doom Patrol are forced to face their deepest fears and decide if they are ready to let go of the past in order to take their future into their own hands... and away from the zombie butts."

Joining Diane Guerrero for the show's final hurrah are Brendan Fraser, Matt Bomer, April Bowlby, Joivan Wade, Michelle Gomez, Skye Roberts, Riley Shanahan and Matthew Zuk.

Because fans have been looking forward to seeing the Doom Patrol in Orqwith, Bosede Williams – who directed the midseason premiere episode – recently stressed the importance of getting it right.

"We knew that it should be dark and completely disorienting, because the characters have never seen anything like it. It should be gloomy, just to really take them out of their elements," she told Entertainment Weekly.

"We worked very closely with the production designer to put it together and figure out: What was the lighting going to be? How big were the bones? What were the flowers going to look like? There were so many details. It was really fun putting together that world."

Doom Patrol streams on Max in the US, and on Lionsgate+ in the UK.
