That’s right, the one and only Shannel will return to compete in the show’s ninth season, which hits Paramount+ with two episodes on Friday, May 17, TVLine has learned. And she isn’t the only bonafide legend gunning for the crown — the iconic Roxxxy Andrews is also here to make it clear… that she really, really wants to win.
Those queens, along with their six competitors, are playing for good this time around (a Drag Race first!), with the winner’s charity of choice earning a $200,000 donation at the end of the season. The prize money is being given by The Palette Fund, a “private foundation dedicated to breaking down barriers and advancing social change in communities that are under-resourced and facing significant challenges.”
Of course, everyone knows that All Stars only presents half the story, so Paramount+ will also be dropping new episodes of All Stars Untucked every Friday, giving viewers a behind-the-scenes look at how the queens are really handling the pressures of the competition.
Read on for a breakdown of the eight returning queens, including which charity they’ll each be playing for, then drop a comment with your thoughts. Which contestant(s) are you already rooting for?
