This is the moment police officers dramatically barged into a flat whilst executing a drugs warrant.

The video shows officers smashing the door in before several of them make their way into the property.

During this week, officers carried out several arrests relating to drug supply and shoplifting offences.

On Monday, the police carried out two warrants at flats in Martin Snape House in Gosport and a 60-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of Class A drugs possession.

He was released from custody but remains under investigation.

Two drivers were also arrested after officers from the Roads Policing Unit were out targeting criminals driving.

‘Fatal four’ offences were identified including driving without a seatbelt and speeding. One speeding motorist also did not have their child properly restrained in their vehicle.

Other vehicles were also stopped by the team, with drivers drug-wiped and dealt with for other offices including defective brake lights and document offences.

Following that, two people, a 33-year-old man and a 26-year-old woman were arrested on suspicion of possession of class A drugs with intent to supply.

This comes after they were stopped in Elson Road. A vehicle search was carried out and a number of grip-sealed bags of white powder were found along with cash.

A nearby address was also searched where more Class A drugs and cash were found.

They have been released from custody but remain under investigation while police investigations continue.

On Thursday, officers patrolling Rowner approached a 47-year-old man in a camper van in the Asda car park before he ran off across a nearby field. Officers ran after him before then arresting him on suspicion of possession of class A drugs with intent to supply.

A large bag of crack cocaine which had been dropped in the field was seized along with the camper van.

The same day police stopped and searched a teenage boy in an alleyway near Mayfield Road.

Following the search, eight wraps of crack and heroin were seized and the search of a nearby address lead to two golf ball sized quantity of suspected crack and heroin.

Officers also seized some cannabis, digital services and drugs paraphernalia.

A 15-year-old boy was arrested on suspicion of being concerned in the supply of class A drugs and has been bailed with conditions until July 18, while enquiries continue.

Police teams have clamped down in retail crime and supporting businesses.

This week, 35-year-old Callum Shepley, of Trinity Close in Gosport, was charged with three shoplifting offences between February 28 and April 16 this year. It’s alleged that more than £250 worth of goods were stolen from shops in Gosport during these incidents.

He was remanded in custody, and appeared at Portsmouth Magistrates’ Court on Thursday, April 18.

'Let’s stand against crime'

Inspector Sam Warne said: “Your Gosport Policing teams are working hard every day to make Gosport safer for everyone. Drug supply and drug use in particular harm our communities directly, and finds its way into so much criminality.

“We don’t want it anymore, not in our town. Drug dealers you are not welcome in Gosport and we will make every effort to remove drugs from Gosport, whilst working with partners to support vulnerable people – including those dependent on drugs – in our community.

“I want Gosport to help us - it’s where you live, tell us what’s happening and let’s stand against crime in Gosport.”
