An incredible opportunity to move to an idyllic Scottish island and bake biscuits has come up.

Small organic biscuit manufacturer The Island Bakery on the Isle of Mull is currently hiring two full-time and permanent positions. The bakery, situated in the picturesque coastal capital town of Tobermory, will also provide a two-bedroom rented flat to the successful applicants.

With Tobermory most famous for its colourful seafront, which featured prominently in iconic children's television series Balamory, it would be the perfect spot to relocate for those looking for an escape from the hustle and bustle of city living. The town also features a treasure trove of attractions, independent shops, and food and drink spots.

According to the job listing on HiJOBS, the starting salary for the roles will be £12 per hour. However, there will be "opportunities to increase that as you gain additional skills and responsibilities".

The successful candidates will join a team of 12 people that run all aspects of the bakery's production, from weighing ingredients through to mixing, baking, chocolate work, and packing. Shifts will be between Monday and Friday, from 2pm until 10pm.

The roles will be in a production-line type environment, but on a small scale where tasks can vary and there will be opportunities to learn new skills and advance. While previous jobs in catering or foodservice is desirable, no specific previous experience is needed to apply.

According to the HiJOBS website, those applying for the positions will need to be "reasonably fit". Candidates must also be able to work well co-operatively and efficiently in a small supportive team.

The job listing states: "We're a friendly small family business where everyone is valued, in a small island community. Opportunities to move here to a full-time permanent and year-round position with accommodation included are rare.

"If you want to make the move we'd love to hear from you."
