Drew Barrymore knows a good romcom when she sees it!

The actress and talk-show host got emotional in a video she posted to her Instagram grid on Wednesday, as she opened up about how much her movie The Wedding Singer means to her as it played on TV in the background.

"The Wedding Singer came on my TV as I was getting ready to leave the house and I had to take in this moment and watch it," Barrymore, 48, wrote in her caption, going on to address her costar in the 1998 classic.

"We made such a good movie," she said in the video, through tears. "I love you so much [Adam Sandler]. Happy New Year."

In The Wedding Singer, Sandler, 57, played Robbie Hart, a down-on-his-luck wedding singer in 1985 who is left at the altar by his longtime girlfriend Linda (Angela Featherstone), leading him to stop believing in love.

Enter Julia Sullivan, a bright-eyed woman Robbie meets at a wedding gig where she is a waitress. The two hit it off immediately and become close friends, but their platonic dynamic quickly turns into something more. One big problem? Julia's engagement to the nightmarish Glenn Gulia (Matthew Glave), not to mention Robbie still being hung up on Linda.

Of course, Robbie and Julia eventually find their way to happily ever after — thanks to an in-flight love song and a little help from Billy Idol, playing himself.

The end of Barrymore's Wednesday video showed her panning the camera to her TV, to show viewers that she was watching the iconic scene at the end of the film, in which Robbie serenades Julia on a plane to Las Vegas and effectively wins her heart.

"It started this morning and I was on my yoga class, and I am taking the next, later one so I can watch it," Barrymore said in the video.

After The Wedding Singer, Sandler and Barrymore went on to star together in two more romantic comedies: 50 First Dates (2004) and Blended (2014).

As for a potential Wedding Singer reunion, Barrymore teased to Entertainment Tonight ahead of the movie's 25th anniversary last year that she and Sandler were "talking about it."

"I think it's time too. We're looking. We're definitely actively looking," she added.

Recalling Sandler's then-recent appearance on her talk show, Barrymore told ET, "We did talk about how we were like, 'Oh it's coming up on 10 years.' "

"We talked about some ideas and we're definitely in. It's percolating," she said.
